Denise and Brenda's Concert

Denise and Brenda lived in Muskego for many years. They held their house concert in Big Bend after they sold their house and were halfway through their move to Florida.
When Denise and I met to talk about her song, she was remarkably calm, even though she had spent most of her day emptying her house with friends and family. She started telling me stories about how she and Brenda had bought their home despite those who thought they wouldn’t be able to afford it. She told me about how the bank had put them into foreclosure my mistake. They closed their account so they couldn’t continue to make payments even though they wanted to. In the end, the judge gave them their house, free and clear. Then when it came time to find a new job and sell the house, it happened quickly and easily. She said, “Things have always work out for us. They might look bad, but are they really?” She asked me, “Why doubt? Brenda and I do our best to just go with the flow. Things work out.”
