Ann Elizabeth-Nagel

Ann’s music is inspired by insights from her life-long healing journey, in which playing her guitar, writing, and singing were instrumental.

Ann recently returned from Nashville where she recorded her second solo CD:  The Only Way Out is Through.  She connected with producer Denny Martin through the Nashville Songwriter's Association (NSAI).  She worked with Denny to rewrite the songs from her second CD in progress and then asked Denny produce and record an EP version of The Only Way Out is Through.

Through Denny, Ann hired studio musicians who created a rich, pop-folk sound for Ann's songs which ranges from the earthy, sensual vibe of "Fisherman" to the dance-able, celebratory spirit of "So Glad I'm Gone."

Ann started performing with Sandy Weisto and Carrie Sanders in a folk trio called Sweet Diversity in 1998.  Sweet Diversity performed a cappella, three-part harmony, and contemporary and traditional folk music. They released two CDs, Sweet Diversity (2000) and They Get That Way Underground (2004).

Ann released her first solo CD, I Surrender in 2008.  I Surrender is a compilation of her early songwriting, which took place during an intense period of introspection, learning and growing.  It themes include acknowledging the past , feeling feelings, increasing self-esteem, and deepening spirituality.

According to former Coffee House Manager, Sandy Weisto, “Ann has a warm, engaging style that draws listeners in. Her songs speak from the heart. The folk-pop flavor of her melodies helps make her songs easily accessible to today’s modern audience.”
